 Newspapers

  • Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read?
    I don't read any.
  • What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?
    I would turn to entertainment.
  • What sections do you never read, and why?
    I would be least likely to turn to political sections as i don't like to involve myself with the news and current affairs to not stress myself
  • What kinds of stories do you usually read and why?
    i usually read fiction as i find it to be very entertaining and can be very creative 
  • Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read?
    i don't know anyone who buys the newspaper 
  • Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others?
    I usually seem glimpses of the news from tiktok from many different sources but i do not have a preference.

Magazines
  • What magazines (if any) do you buy regularly?  Why/why not?
    i don't, i find it a waste of money as i don't read much personally
  • What sections of the magazines do you read and not read, and why?
    none, i don't buy magazines.

Television
  • Approximately how many hours a week do you spend watching television?
    I spend around 10 hours a week watching television.
  • What device do you use to watch television?
    usually through my phone.
  • What times of day do you usually watch television?
    towards night time.
  • What programmes do you like best and why?
    i use external apps such as youtube and streaming services 
  • Do you watch alone or with others? If you watch with others, who decides what you will watch?
    i sometimes watch with my partner but i usually watch on my own, we both have each decisions towards what we watch as we take turns picking.

    not at the moment.

Radio

    No.

  • Do you listen to podcasts?
    Rarely.

    Joe Rogan's podcast 
  • Approximately how many hours a week do you spend listening to podcasts or radio?
    Less then an hour.

    Around the evening.

    On my phone.

    relax in bed, play games , or just speak and message others.

    no.

Film

    Oppenheimer.

    Many films recently-jarhead (Netflix), suits(Netflix), Howl's moving castle(Netflix).

    My partner

    my TV and phone.

Online

    very often.
  • Where do you access the internet? At home, at school, commuting etc.
    At home.

    Snapchat and streaming services.

    I like to play games as well.

    I use my computer and my phone usually to connect to internet.

    Snapchat, i speak to my friends a lot on there.

Final section: reflection
  • How can you develop the amount and variety of media you consume?
    I usually use it to speak to others.

  • What will you change in your media consumption habits this year as a result of studying A Level Media?
    Not to overconsume , as many companies use this fact that many do negatively and for their own benefit, as well as noticing the small things that i may have missed that goes into making content or certain things to try appeal to others.
  • List three sources of media (websites/newspapers/apps/TV programmes etc.) that you will start to access this year that you haven't engaged with previously.
    Blogger for homework.
    Prime so i can watch new shows.
    Try to read newspaper, to understand the politics of the world on a better grasp.
